When Moon is between the Sun and the Earth, it blocks the rays of the Sun from falling on the Earth. This is called the Solar Eclipse. There are two types. It occurs when the Moon covers the Sun’s center, leaving the Sun’s visible outer edges. It called a ring of fire or around the Moon. This is called Annual Solar Eclipse. 2. This is when the moon completely hides the sun and the outer edge of the sun is not at all visible.

On January 10, 2020, the moon will be behind the earth and it is called Lunar Eclipse. This casts a shadow on the moon making it look red. This is called a Lunar Eclipse.
