Walking tour of Tarrytown | New York

Hi you guys, this is Brett Conti and I am a travel YouTuber from New York City. Today, I am guest vlogging for the EF Education First YouTube channel. Right now, we are on their New York campus. We’re about to do some exploring, show you guys Tarrytown and how easy and accessible it is to get to New York City. Let’s go. This right here is Butler Hall. This is one of my favorite buildings on the EF campus. All the other buildings house classrooms, dorms and other lounges for the students.

This university was actually built in 1907 and EF transformed it about 10 years ago into what is now one of their largest campuses. It hosts students from up to 100 countries from around the world. This is my first time here at the Tarrytown EF campus and it was so cool to meet all the different people from different countries and hear them speaking their language. Now we’re about to head a couple of blocks down to make it to Tarrytown. We just made it down here to Tarrytown and, this is honestly my first time ever here and my first impression is that it is a very quaint, beautiful city.

It almost feels like a beach town. There are a bunch of restaurants, cafés, and some delicious pizza. Wow. That was a good slice. I’m not going to lie. For 2.50 dollars, you can get a delicious New York slice of pizza from Main Street Pizza shop. Then, after that, I recommend heading over to Coffee Labs Roasters for a cup of coffee. Here in New York, we call it “cawfee.” From art galleries to shopping, Tarrytown is great to stroll around. My personal favorite shop is Ona’s, which only sells Fairtrade products. This is the only thing in the store that is made out of plastic and it is a recycled water bottle turned into art. You can also put cool things in it like this. It makes for the perfect light stand. Now we are on the skateboards cruising down towards the Hudson River. After about a 5-10 minute skateboard or bike ride, you make it here to the scenic Hudson RiverWalk Park. This is a great place to hang out, enjoy the river, get some peace and quiet, or maybe even get some school work done. If you look out into the distance, you can even see New York City and the Tappan Zee Bridge is right here in front of you. Can you see New York City? Oh yeah. Here we are at the Tarrytown train station where we are about to take the train into Grand Central in New York City. The trains come about 20 minutes and it only takes about 45 minutes to get into New York. I also want to give a big thanks to EF for inviting me out to Tarrytown and exploring the city and the campus.
